Chief Clinical Officer

Judy Bartel, MSN, ACHPN, CHPCA, FPCN, is the Chief Clinical Officer for Hospice of the Western Reserve.

As Hospice of the Western Reserve’s primary clinical leader, Bartel administers, directs and coordinates activities related to all clinical services and operations. She is accountable for more than 760 clinical team employees in home care, alternative home care, referral assessment and liaison, on-call, the Bereavement Center, inpatient units, palliative care, the Navigator program, an advance illness program, pediatrics, pharmacy and dietary.

She assures that practices and activities are appropriately integrated into the organization’s strategic plan, and facilitates the provision of ideal patient care and services.

She has been employed at Hospice of the Western Reserve for over 20 years in a variety of roles, including, staff nurse, marketing and Director of Clinical Programs.

Bartel holds a Master’s degree in Nursing and is a Certified Advance Practice Nurse. She is board certified in Palliative Care Management/Administration. Bartel has been awarded the distinguished title of Fellow in Palliative Care Nursing.
