End of Life Library

Mission

The End-of-Life Library at Hospice of the Western Reserve provides professional information and resources that enhance the life affirming quality of care provided by Hospice of the Western Reserve. The Library serves both professionals and families in our community, providing resources and services in all related aspects of palliative care and end-of-life issues. The End-of-Life Library includes an online catalog, virtual library services and professional library assistance.

The EOL Library provides the following palliative care and hospice resources:

•Books and textbooks

•Professional journals

•Database access (MedlinePlus, PubMed, CINAHL, etc.)

•More than 1,500 titles including bereavement and grief

•Literature searches

•Document delivery

•Resource lending

•Professional librarian

Healthcare professionals and institutions, educators, students, schools, colleges, universities, researchers, authors, bioethicists, policy makers, public officials, attorneys and other legal professionals, business and corporate staff, churches, social workers, counselors, spiritual care professionals, funeral professionals, nursing home administrators and staff, and the general public.
