It’s Time for 2018 Walk to Remember Presented by Huntington Bank

On Sunday, June 10, friends, families and all the community ambassadors who support Hospice of the Western Reserve’s mission will gather at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for 2018 Walk to Remember presented by Huntington Bank. Advance registration is available at hospicewr.org/walk or by calling 216.383.3715. Same day registration at the Zoo will also be available.

Registration is $12 for children, $25 for adults and $75 for family (includes two adults and three children ages 4-12). Children 3 and under are free. This includes a full day at the Zoo and Rainforest, snacks, entertainment and much more. A brief Closing Ceremony immediately following the Walk will include family-friendly festivities and a Celebration of Life ceremony and video presentation. Walkers are encouraged to e-mail pictures of loved ones to include to: bmurphy@hospicewr.org.

“Walk to Remember funds many extra services not reimbursed by insurance,” said Racheal Seibert, Chief Development Officer, Hospice of the Western Reserve. “Programs such as pediatric hospice, summer camps for grieving children and our Moments to Remember program, which allows us to grant special bucket list requests for our patients, would not be possible without generous support from the Walk.”

“Huntington Bank is honored to support Hospice of the Western Reserve as the presenting sponsor of 2018 Walk to Remember,” said Sean Richardson, President, Greater Cleveland Region. “Our employees are among those whose families have personally benefited from the compassionate care provided by this dedicated nonprofit agency. We are looking forward to joining everyone at the zoo to celebrate life, pay it forward and help other hospice families.”

Help Us Provide Comfort to Our Patients!
For every $100 raised or donated to the 2018 Walk to Remember, one of our adorable Comfort Buddies will be given to a patient. Comfort Buddies provide reassurance and meaning to a variety of patients, from pediatrics to dementia care. New this year: You can purchase your own Junior Comfort Buddy and pick it up June 10 at the zoo for an additional $25 donation. Junior Comfort Buddies not picked up that day will be donated back to support our patients.
