Grief Services

Western Reserve Grief Services is a community based grief support program that provides services throughout Northern Ohio. We offer support to anyone who has experienced a loss due to death.

Our Mission is to assist the bereaved as they move through the grief process by providing support groups, education and training, individual grief support for hospice families, and crisis response to the bereaved and those who work with them.

Our Services
Western Reserve Grief Services provides comprehensive offerings of grief programs to anyone needing support on their grief journey. A family member does not have to have a loved one in hospice care to take part in our children’s bereavement camps, equine (horse) camps, family programs, special events, art therapy groups, Healing Arts Workshops, online forums and a wide variety of grief support groups. Crisis response in the community and in-school grief programs are available.

For our hospice families, we provide individual support for a minimum of 13 months after the death of a loved one. We follow and support children and pediatric families for 24 months.

In addition, grief resources are available to the entire Northern Ohio region. We provide continuing education and training to those who work with the bereaved, such as healthcare providers, funeral home staff, religious leaders and safety forces.

Services are available not only at our two bereavement centers in Cleveland and Medina, but on-site (at schools, workplaces, community facilities, etc.) in the home, or in one of our many locations throughout Northern Ohio.
