Robert Ancker MD

ancker.jpgDr. Robert Ancker joined Hospice of the Western Reserve as Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director in 2021. With over 20 years of clinical leadership experience in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, including roles as the Medical Director for Blue Ridge Hospice, Winchester, Va., and Barton Memorial Hospital, South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Dr. Ancker is highly regarded for his ability to foster a culture of continuous process improvement, constantly seeking new ways to innovate and provide exceptional care.

A skilled educator who frequently lectures on the topics of hospice, palliative care, pain management and other end-of-life issues, Dr. Ancker enjoys building collaborative relationships both internally and within the medical community.

Dr. Ancker earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in June of 1990 and holds a Bachelor of Science and Medicine degree from LSU. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
