Is grief support available for families that did not use hospice services? 

Yes, Western Reserve Grief Services is a community resource available to anyone who has experienced a loss through death. We welcome the opportunity to help you and your family through this difficult time.

What kind of programs do you have for children?

We offer a variety of Healing Arts Workshopscamps, teen retreats and family programs. In addition, we have a comprehensive school services program.

Do you offer any training on grief and loss?

Yes, we are often contacted by area businesses, schools, and healthcare providers to offer education programs on grief and loss. Length, topic and cost vary on the specific request and each program is tailored to meet the needs of the group requesting it. 

Do you respond when there is a crisis or traumatic death?

Yes, our staff has additional training in crisis response and sudden death. We provide on-site support and guidance following a traumatic event. A phone call from the school is all it takes to activate the team. Learn more here.

Who can refer to Western Reserve Grief Services?

Services are available to anyone in the community, regardless of whether or not their family used Hospice of the Western Reserve for care. A professional referral is not required. Are there fees for any of the services of The Bereavement Center?

Generous support from the community allows Hospice of the Western Reserve to offer most programs and services at no cost to the participant. There is a nominal registration fee for camps, retreats, and art therapy programs. We do not turn anyone away regardless of ability to pay and offer scholarships. Professional workshops, seminars and some courses have a separate fee schedule.
