Santa Paws is Coming to Town

Christmas came early for residents of the Willowood Care Center in Brunswick and Medina Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing Centre. The HMC Hospice of Medina County “Santa Paws Parade” dropped by for window visits this week, bringing along an early dose of yuletide cheer.

HMC volunteers and their pet therapy dogs  - all decked out in Santa suits, reindeer antlers and holiday garlands - paraded around the buildings, stopping along the way for window visits with residents and staff.  Volunteers carried signs with messages from their canine companions, such as “May our paws touch your heart and brighten your day.”

Candy canes and holiday cards prepared by volunteer Donna Francko were left behind to distribute to the residents to remind them they are not forgotten.
