Medina, Ohio (Jan. 10, 2022) -- HMC Hospice of Medina County, an affiliate of Hospice of the Western Reserve, has announced plans to resume the inpatient level of care at the facility located at 5075 Windfall Rd. The first patients will be accepted beginning Jan. 17. Inpatient care operations at the facility were suspended in June 2020 in part due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We know how much pride the community takes in the facility. Those whose loved ones received care there through the years have an especially deep connection, so we are grateful we can once again resume operations there,” said Bill Finn, President and CEO.

Finn said HMC is dedicated to maintaining a strong presence in the community. The facility also continues to serve as the operational hub for the Robertson Bereavement Center, the HMC volunteer team and hospice teams providing care in private residences, nursing facilities and assisted living communities in the southern service area. The HMC campus, including its dedicated Veterans Garden and tribute walkways, play an important role in memorializing loved ones. Life’s Treasures thrift shop, just off Medina Square, continues to serve the community, with proceeds benefitting hospice families and volunteer services in Medina.
