“We hire compassionate, caring thought-leaders. Our strong, team-focused environment offers our employees the opportunity to provide one-on-one care, collaborate with leadership and further themselves through educational opportunities,” said Jessica Sheets, Vice President of Human Resources.

“We believe in work-life balance, offer a generous PTO and benefits package and the feeling of pride that comes from being a nationally recognized leader in hospice and palliative care services and the most recommended hospice in Northern Ohio.”

HWR clinical staff members share a passion for the agency’s mission of providing compassionate care and improving quality of life. “There is a strong psychosocial dynamic to what we do for not only the patients, but their entire circle,” said hospice home care nurse June Olson, RN. “What we do is very powerful work.”

Kiara Wade, a cook at Ames Family Hospice House, one of HWR’s four inpatient hospice units, has a special appreciation for the nonprofit agency’s caring and supportive culture. “Everyone here is helpful and inviting.  We care about each other. This is comfortable working environment and a breath of fresh air,” she said.
