Hospice of the Western Reserve to Celebrate WWII Veteran’s 100th Birthday

CLEVELAND, OH — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – JANUARY 20, 2025 – Hospice of the Western Reserve is proud to announce a special celebration honoring Bob Zonneville’s 100th birthday on Thursday, January 23, 2025. The event will take place at David Simpson Hospice House from 2 to 4 p.m.

Bob Zonneville has been a cornerstone of support for Hospice of the Western Reserve for decades. His dedication as a donor, volunteer, and advocate has made a lasting impact on the organization and the thousands of families it serves.

In 2008, Bob received the prestigious Chair’s Award for his extraordinary contributions to the hospice community. Among his many accomplishments, Bob coordinated the McKinley-Murphy Memorial Golf Outing for over 10 years, raising more than $15,000 annually. This beloved event, which began as the Jackie McKinley Memorial Golf Outing in 1995, evolved into a tribute to longtime volunteers Bob and Ann Murphy and Frank and Jackie McKinley, who were all deeply involved in hospice work. Under Bob’s leadership, the event raised an impressive $93,068 in total, providing crucial support for Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Bob’s commitment to hospice care extends beyond fundraising. As the only World War II veteran on the organization’s Veterans Committee, he has worked tirelessly to honor and support fellow veterans in hospice care. Bob’s connection to Hospice of the Western Reserve is also deeply personal. In 2008, he entrusted the organization with the care of his beloved wife of 61 years. His enduring support is a testament to his gratitude and belief in the mission of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
