Prospective Volunteers

"Volunteers are vital members of the hospice team. They bring comfort to patients and their loved ones in a variety of ways-whether at a patient's bedside or supporting the mission through administrative services. They are the heart of hospice."

-William E. Finn, President and CEO

WRCS requires all paid/volunteer staff, contracted associates (e.g., agency service coordinators, temporary staff and agency staff), and other non-employed individuals working on behalf of WRCS (e.g., instructors who perform clinical rotations onsite, vendors, suppliers) to obtain a COVID vaccination, unless an exemption as a reasonable accommodation is obtained. Exceptions for volunteer staff are as follows:

  • Volunteers who COMMIT to NO IN-PERSON volunteering with patients or at any of our sites.
  • ONLY volunteering at the Life’s Treasures Thrift Store in Medina as it is a location that does not have clinical staff.
